About us

By harnessing some of the world’s highest continuous magnetic fields and the unprecedented wavelength span and pulse energies of our free-electron lasers our institute enables the discovery, visualisation and comprehension of previously unknown molecular structures and novel phases of matter.

HFML-FELIX is part of a large national consortium, consisting of the Radboud Universiteit, NWO-I, the Technische Universiteit Delft, Universiteit Maastricht, Universiteit Twente, Universiteit van Amsterdam, Universiteit Leiden and the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
